Missy Wilkins lives resiliency. From a young age, she faced life-altering challenges—beginning at age eight, when her mother was widowed and left to raise two children alone. That early experience shaped Missy’s understanding of grief, grit, and the long arc of healing.

Years later, Missy became a widow herself. And once again, she rose. She knows what it means to be face down in the arena—and she knows it’s temporary. Time and again, she’s used life’s hardest moments as turning points, choosing strength, clarity, and a new trajectory. Her life’s mission is to empower others to do the same.

When she found herself recently widowed, Missy quickly realized that the resources available didn’t meet her needs. They were often centered on sitting in grief or rehashing loss—important, yes, but not the whole story. She wanted something more: real, practical support for women who were ready to heal, grow, and move forward. Not just surviving widowhood, but trailblazing through it—rediscovering who they are and designing what comes next.

Missy couldn’t stand by as a bystander in life. She put her research expertise to work. Drawing on her deep background in mentoring, education, and human development, she created Clear Skies to fill the gap. It’s a space for widows navigating profound change to find connection, direction, and the courage to rebuild a meaningful life.
